Gowling WLG advises Specialty Polymer Coatings on its acquisition by RPM International

On September 8, 2016, Specialty Polymer Coatings, Inc. (SPC) closed on its acquisition by RPM International Inc. (RPM). SPC will operate as a free-standing business within the RPM Performance Coatings Group and report through the Carboline Company. The value of the transaction is undisclosed.

SPC is a Canadian manufacturer of high-performance coatings for the global oil and gas pipeline market with annual net sales of approximately USD$26-million.

RPM owns subsidiaries that are world leaders in specialty coatings, sealants, building materials and related services across three segments.

Gowling WLG advised SPC with a team led by Henry Ellis that included Irene Stewart, Brent Kerr and Stephen Hedley.
