On January 30, 2015, Calgary-based private oil & gas exploration company Ignite Energy Services Ltd. announced the acquisitions of Trophy Buck Oilfield Services and Viro Energy Services of Whitecourt, Alberta. The companies add specialized fluid hauling and oilfield rentals to Ignite’s growing platform.

Gowlings advised Ignite in these acquisitions with a team led by Steve Will and Maxine Mongeon, and that included Maral Dolatabadi and Melanie Condic.
