Leading international IP lawyer Tania D'Souza-Culora moves to Gowlings

Tania D'Souza-Culora, a leading trademark lawyer and an experienced intellectual property adviser on the global stage, has joined Gowlings as a partner in its Toronto office and member of its firm-wide Intellectual Property Group.

Recognized by World Trademark Review (WTR) as one of the top practitioners in her field, D'Souza-Culora brings over a decade of experience advising clients on a range of domestic and global IP matters, including developing and managing global enforcement programs. Prior to Gowlings, she gained experience working in the Toronto, London and Hong Kong offices of a large global law firm.

Catering to clients from diverse sectors, D'Souza-Culora's practice covers an array of complex issues relating to trademark, design, copyright, anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy. Over the course of her career, she has managed investigations into dealings in unauthorized products, advised on trademark prosecution and brand strategies, and developed extensive experience overseeing global customs recordal programs.

D'Souza-Culora is qualified as a lawyer in England and Wales, and is in the process of qualification with the Ontario Bar. She frequently presents on IP enforcement and strategy considerations to clients and industry groups, and has published articles in WTR, Managing Intellectual Property and Copyright World.
