On February 9, 2018, Novacap Industries IV, S.E.C. completed the acquisition of Mailhot Industries for an undisclosed amount.

Mailhot is a leading manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders using the latest technologies, with sites in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

Novacap is a leading Canadian private equity firm with $2.3-billion of assets under management.

Gowling WLG advised Novacap with a team led by Rafal Wrzesien that included Ingrid Anton, Georgi Paskalev and Joey Suri (M&A), Elisabeth Gauthier, Kathleen Houlihan and Josée Gervais (employment), Nicolas Dubé (environment), Matthew Finn (intellectual property) and Laura Gheorghiu (tax).
