Effective June 30, 2023, Roxborough Bus Lines and its wholly-owned subsidiary 417 Bus Line were acquired by Switzer-CARTY Transportation.

Roxborough Bus Lines has a long family history of over 60 years, starting with one bus in 1959 and steadily growing in eastern Ontario and the Ottawa area to almost 900 employees and 850 buses.

Switzer-CARTY provides home-to-school student transportation and charter services to a diverse set of customers across Ontario. In 2021, Terramont Infrastructure Partners, along with Manulife Investment Management and Siemens Financial Services, acquired a controlling interest in Switzer-CARTY.

Gowling WLG advised Roxborough Bus Lines in this transaction with a team that included Garrett Hamel and Martin Roy (corporate/M&A), Amy Derickx (employment), Carole Chouinard (tax) and Eric Presseau (real restate), assisted by student-at-law Shane Cosman.
