Two Gowling WLG partners win 2019 Client Choice Awards

John Coldham and Stephen Cross have been named recipients of this year's Client Choice Awards, presented by the International Law Office in partnership with Lexology.

Stephen Cross, partner and co-leader of Gowling WLG's Tech Group in Ottawa, was recognized as one of Ontario's top practitioners in the information technology sector. "Stephen Cross has excellent knowledge of the IT and internet industry; he is a true expert who can break down complex issues and explain them clearly to clients," said one client who provided feedback to the International Law Office and Lexology. "He is able to build trustworthy and respectable relationships with clients; he is a responsive professional, only a phone call away when needed," added another.

John Coldham, a partner in the firm's London office, was named one of the UK's top practitioners in the Intellectual Property - Designs & Trade Secrets category. Legal 500 has praised him for his "practical, commercial perspective, innovative solutions to problems, and straightforward advice," as well as for being a "great negotiator" and an "expert in the design field and a go-to person for design disputes."
