Sumiko Mori

Sumiko Mori is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, focusing on patents and industrial designs.

Sumiko's practice involves drafting and prosecuting patent and industrial design applications and providing strategic advice to clients. She works with a broad range of clients from small sized businesses to innovative multinational companies, including information technology and clean technology sectors.

Sumiko is a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States. Sumiko is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Sumiko worked at a leading Japanese law firm and practised as a Japanese patent attorney before the Japan Patent Office.

Sumiko is fluent in English and Japanese.
