Julian Henwood

Julian Henwood is a Birmingham-based (but often to be found overseas) partner. He has over 30 years' experience in project managing significant cross-border corporate transactions for a largely European-headquartered client base - including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and asset purchases and disposals. On 1 May 2018, Julian moved into a new role in our firm as Head of European Business Development. This role builds upon his existing roles as chair of Gowling WLG's Baltic States, Malta, Nordic and Netherlands Teams – as well as being a member of our Belgium and Luxembourg teams. Julian travels frequently within Northern and Western Europe to visit clients and contacts in their home countries.

Julian plays an active role in the activities of the European business community in the UK. He participates, for example, in meetings of the Danish-UK Association, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the United Kingdom and the Finnish-British Chamber of Commerce.
