GFL acquires Enviro-Viridis Development Corporation

Gowling WLG acted as counsel to Enviro-Viridis Development Corporation Inc. and the sellers, including NOVACAP, with respect to the purchase of Enviro-Viridis by GFL Environmental Inc. through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Services Matrec Inc.

On March 1, 2016, GFL Environmental Inc. (GFL), through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Services Matrec Inc., completed the acquisition of Enviro-Viridis Development Corporation Inc. (Enviro-Viridis) for an undisclosed amount.

GFL is a Canadian diversified environmental services company offering services in solid waste management, liquid waste management and soil remediation.

Enviro-Viridis is a leader in the management of residual materials from municipal, commercial and institutional collection, as well as construction and demolition waste. Enviro-Viridis stands out from its competitors with its three CRD sorting centers and its two landfills for dry waste materials.
