Bio
Amy Williams is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, where she served as a teaching assistant in Dispute Resolution and Professional Responsibility and mentored first-year students through the Allies in Law program.
Prior to law school, she gained over eight years of experience as an intellectual property paralegal, managing complex domestic and international trademark and patent portfolios, supporting litigation matters, leading IP audits, and training legal teams. Amy also worked with the Ontario Provincial Police, assisting with marine policing operations, collision investigations, and regulatory compliance.
Outside of her legal work, Amy is an active volunteer with Canadian Blood Services, and she has contributed to numerous professional and community events throughout her career.
