Andrea Leung

Andrea is an associate in Gowling WLG's Waterloo office, practising in the Employment, Labour & Equalities Group.

With a passion for problem solving and working proactively to address the diverse range of challenges faced by working people, Andrea’s practice focuses on providing practical and strategic advice to ensure the long-term viability of employment relationships.

Andrea completed her JD from the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude. During law school, Andrea worked with a community legal clinic in Toronto, represented the University of Ottawa at the 2023 Canadian Client Consultation Competition, and interned with the in-house legal team at the Dairy Farmers of Ontario.

Prior to law school, Andrea completed a bachelor of arts in international development studies at the University of Toronto. As part of her studies, Andrea spent a year working in rural India with a community development organization focusing on women's empowerment. After graduating, she worked in administration and fundraising with the non-profit Tearfund Canada. She continues to be involved with the organization as a director.

Outside of work, Andrea can be found playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, and spending time with her three sisters.
