Brooke F. Smith

Brooke Smith is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Department. Brooke's practice focuses on medical defence, representing medical professionals in civil litigation and administrative law matters. She also has a particular interest in mental health law.

Brooke has appeared in various levels of court in Ontario. She has also represented physicians before the College of Physicians and Surgeon of Ontario, the Consent and Capacity Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.

Brooke believes in community engagement, volunteering with many local organizations including the Pro Bono Legal Clinic and Lawyers Feed the Hungry. She has also served on the Health Law Executive Committee of the Ontario Bar Association.
