Caitlin Schropp

Caitlin Schropp is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. Caitlin's practice focuses on civil litigation and administrative law, with an emphasis on international trade law, defamation law, and privacy and access to information.
Caitlin represent clients in disputes and provides strategic advice on privacy-related matters and trade issues including customs compliance, economic sanctions and export controls, and the utilization and interpretation of trade agreements.
Caitlin completed the Juris Doctor program at Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law, where she also obtained a certificate in Law and Technology. During her studies, she represented Dalhousie in the 2021 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. She also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada at the Centre for Law and Democracy conducting access to information research.
Prior to attending law school, Caitlin obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Business at the University of Waterloo and held roles in marketing and sales with health and engineering technology companies.
