
Bio
Dilene Mugenzi is a summer student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.
Dilene is completing her juris doctor at the University of Ottawa. During law school, she has gained practical experience with the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, where she worked as a student caseworker and served as division leader in the Community Legal Education Division. She has also contributed as a research assistant on projects related to critical minerals supply chains and has participated in moots, including the Tort Moot and the Nelligan Moot.
Dilene is actively involved in the student community as moot coordinator for the Black Law Students’ Association and as a member of the University of Ottawa’s Environmental Law Students’ Association.
Prior to law school, Dilene worked in social innovation. She also completed graduate research focused on forest carbon dynamics.
Dilene will focus her summer in the firm’s Environmental Law Group.
