Bio
Emily Keeping is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.
Emily is completing her JD at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Common Law Section. During her studies, Emily served as the vice president of English for the Common Law Student Society. Emily refined her oral advocacy skills by participating in the Nelligan Moot and the BLG Negotiation competition.
Prior to entering law school, Emily completed her bachelor of arts in political science with a minor in French at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. Emily has many years of experience working in the service and retail industries, which has given her a strong work ethic and time management skills.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys reading and playing board games.
Emily will focus her summer term in the firm’s Advocacy Department.
