Erin J. Runnalls

Erin Runnalls is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office with more than 15 years of experience advising clients on complex disputes and managing legal and reputational risks. Her practice includes commercial litigation, health law, professional negligence, insurance litigation, international arbitration, class actions, constitutional law, and defamation and reputation management.

Erin works with businesses, organizations and professionals to resolve disputes and protect their interests. She takes a practical, strategic approach to litigation, focusing on solutions that align with her clients’ business objectives.

Erin is an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta and serves on its Executive Committee. She also chairs the Law Society’s Policy and Regulatory Reform Committee and Complaint Dismissal Appeal Working Group.

Committed to giving back to the legal community, Erin leads Gowling WLG’s Calgary pro bono programs and has received a Distinguished Service Award from the Law Society of Alberta and Canadian Bar Association, as well as a Pro Bono Service Award from Pro Bono Law Alberta. She has also chaired the firm’s Calgary Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and served on the advisory board of the University of Calgary Faculty of Law’s Public Interest Law Clinic.
