Gabrielle Matheson is an associate in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office, where she focuses on litigation and dispute resolution. She maintains a broad advocacy practice, with experience in arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, appellate advocacy, and administrative and constitutional matters. Gabrielle represents clients in a range of complex commercial, civil, and corporate disputes, including matters involving project development and natural resource development. She is called to the Bar in Alberta, British Columbia, and the Yukon, and has appeared before all levels of courts in British Columbia and the Yukon Court of Appeal.
Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Gabrielle served as a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
Gabrielle received her JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law (UBC), where she studied as a JD student fellow for the Centre for Law and the Environment. While in law school, she competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and received the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats Prize in Public International Law.
Prior to law school, Gabrielle completed a BA in political science at Queen's University and an MA in political science at the University of British Columbia.
