Josh Almario

Josh Almario is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. His practice spans corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and general commercial matters.

Josh has a highly diversified practice and regularly acts as a trusted business advisor to public, private and multinational companies and their investors on domestic and cross-border M&A, divestitures and corporate governance matters. Over the course of his career, he has represented clients across a broad range of sectors including technology, aerospace and defence, healthcare, life sciences, e-commerce, oil and gas, mining, cannabis and consumer retail products.

He advises on a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including public and private debt and equity financings, domestic and cross-border going public transactions and listing applications on the various Canadian stock exchanges. He has extensive experience structuring and implementing public and private M&A transactions and regularly represents private equity, venture capital and strategic investors in control and minority investments and other strategic transactions. His advisory work extends to directors' fiduciary duties, related party transactions, insider trading policies, and a range of corporate governance and compliance matters.
