
Bio
Marya Talha is a summer law student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.
Marya is completing her Juris Doctor program at Western University.
During law school, Marya worked as a caseworker at both the Western Intellectual Property & Innovation Legal Clinic, and Community Legal Services. She also conducted research on contemporary legal issues in outer space law and international criminal law. She is pursuing Western Law’s Area of Concentration in Intellectual Property, Information and Technology (IPIT), and was an oralist in the Harold G. Fox Moot.
Prior to attending law school, Marya earned an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Biology, with a minor in Classical Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she founded a club which focused on discussing bioethical issues, and she was selected as the Valedictorian of her graduating class.
Marya will focus her summer in the firm's Intellectual Property Group.
