Mathieu Santos-Bouffard

Mathieu Santos-Bouffard is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office, working in the firm's Business Law department.

Working with companies of all sizes, Mathieu focuses his practice on commercial transactions, and the implementation of corporate structures, mainly in the technology and manufacturing sectors. His work also involves business sales and purchases and capital venture investments. In addition, he developed a practice with many Indigenous development corporations to assist them with different commercial and project-related negotiations with major projects on their traditional territory (infrastructure, mining, energy, etc.).

He drafts various types of technology-related agreements, including SaaS, license and software distribution agreements, and handles certain cleantech and FinTech regulatory issues (money services business licences, FINTRAC, RPAA, AMP, AMF, etc.).

In his free time, Mathieu enjoys cycling and cross-country skiing.

He practises law in English and French, and is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
