Mike specialises in acting for institutional investors and private equity companies and is involved in many of the largest portfolio transactions in a range of sectors including industrial, logistics and student accommodations.

Clients

Mike's clients include Blackstone, SEGRO plc, Harbert Management Corporation, M&G, Diageo Pension Fund, HSBC Bank Pension Fund, The Arch Company, The Office Group, Mirastar and The Northern Ireland Government Pension Fund.

Experience

Advising SEGRO plc on its £202 million acquisition of Perivale Park from Federated Hermes.
Advising Blackstone on the acquisition of UK student accommodation company IQ from Goldman Sachs which has been described as the UK's largest private real estate transaction.
Acting for Diageo Pension Fund on the letting of a 310,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility at Didcot Square in South Oxfordshire.
Advising Blackstone on the UK aspects of the acquisition of twelve logistics portfolios across Europe from Macquarie Capital and Elite Partners Capital in nine transactions for €520 million.
Acting for M&G on the £36 million purchase of Gascoigne Road, Barking from Mirastar (where he impressed enough to help win Mirastar as a client later in the year).
Acting on the £36 million acquisition of an industrial estate in Kingston for Mirastar.
Advising Diageo on the £127 million sale of the 212,000 sq ft trading park - Mowlem Trading Estate – setting a record yield for industrial in London.
Advising SEGRO on the £183 million acquisition of land in Iver for a one million square foot data centre development.
Advising Harbert Fund V on the £350 million purchase and finance of the Merlin portfolio of a portfolio of 15 north west sites.
Leading on the £85 million acquisition and development funding of land in Croydon for the development of a multi-let scheme for SEGRO.
Advising M&G on the £78 million acquisition and subsequent £99 million sale of Saffron House, Holborn. This was a real statement transaction and very high profile given it was a London office transaction in the midst of COVID-19.
Advising on the £124 million acquisition of Nido House for Blackstone/IQ.
Advising M&G on the £132 million purchase of Ryder Court and the £202 million sale of the Bow & Arrow portfolio.
