Mustafa Said is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office and member of the firm’s Disputes Group. He maintains a broad litigation practice, representing clients across a range of dispute matters. Known for his clear communication, determination, and creative problem-solving, Mustafa brings a thoughtful and client-focused approach to achieving effective results.
Mustafa earned his juris doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, after completing a bachelor of arts in political science at the University of Calgary.
While in law school, Mustafa was actively involved in student leadership and wellness initiatives. He collaborated with the Wellness Office to develop a mental health toolkit for current and future law students, served as vice-president of the Allard Law Meditation Club, and acted as a 1L academic representative for his small group.
In his final year, Mustafa further developed his legal research and writing skills through a judicial externship, working closely with provincial court judges across British Columbia. He also spent a semester abroad at King’s College London.
Mustafa received the Allan McEachern Prize for his high standing in criminal law and was awarded the Spirit of the Burns Moot in recognition of his collaborative and enthusiastic participation.
