Peter Morrison is a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary office practising in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance.
Peter's insurance work includes representing and advising clients in various insurance disputes, including: insurance coverage, personal injury claims, fatality claims, property losses and condominium issues, SEF 44 claims, commercial host claims, occupier's liability claims, product liability claims and professional negligence claims.
Peter has appeared on matters before the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and was second chair for a matter at the Supreme Court of Canada. Peter takes a proactive approach to litigation and seeks to resolve disputes as expeditiously as possible with a client-centred focus.
Originally from Vancouver, Peter completed his law degree at the University of Calgary. During his time there, Peter was an active volunteer with Student Legal Assistance (SLA), volunteering as a caseworker, a group leader and as a member on the SLA student executive. He was also a member of the U of C Law Litigators' basketball, volleyball and rugby teams. He received the Student Peer Assistance Law Bursary and the Alberta Law Foundation Bursary.
Peter currently volunteers with the King's Bench Amicus Counsel and the Small Claims Duty Counsel projects.
