
Bio
Shaheer Khattak is a summer law student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office.
Shaheer has a unique background in engineering and a strong interest in construction and infrastructure law. During his legal studies, Shaheer has been actively involved in practical legal work through clinic at Osgoode Hall Law School, serving as a caseworker at the Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) and the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic. At CLASP, he assisted clients with intake, interviews, and information gathering in administrative law matters. At the Venture Capital Clinic, he provided legal services to early-stage entrepreneurial ventures focusing on corporate finance and business agreements.
His previous experience as a geotechnical engineer in mining and energy sectors provides him with valuable technical insights that complement his legal experience.
Shaheer holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Calgary. Fluent in English, Pushto, Hindi and Urdu, Shaheer brings a global perspective to his practice. Outside the office, he is an avid snowboarder and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys kayaking and camping.
