Twelve Gowling WLG lawyers recognised in Who's Who Legal: Mining 2019
Twelve of Gowling WLG's mining lawyers have been distinguished as leaders in their field in Who's Who Legal: Mining 2019.
Five Gowling WLG UK LLP lawyers from the firm's Natural Resources Group were named as the sector's leading practitioners in the latest publication. Seven Gowling WLG Canada lawyers were also named as the mining sector's leading legal professionals by Who's Who Legal, which recognised 436 of the top mining practitioners from 344 law firms, across 60 countries around the world in 2019.
Gowling WLG Canada LLP partner Cyndi Laval was named one of the region's 'Leading individuals,' noted as "a fabulous lawyer with vast experience in the mining sector."
Meanwhile, co-leader for Latin America, partner France Tenaille is noted as one of Canada's 'Leading Individuals' for her expertise in "cross-border corporate and project finance matters" and for her "particularly strong reputation for her work in Latin America."
The firm is also recognised by the publication as a powerhouse in the mining sector worldwide, being named as one of the world's leading firms, ranking in the Top three for global listings against its mining peers in both Canada and the UK.
Each year, the Who's Who Legal: Mining guide recognises the top legal practitioners across the sector internationally and is widely regarded as one of the leading mining legal directories. The results are based on a comprehensive research and consultation process engaging industry experts from around the world to identify the industry's leading legal experts.
