Energy team success in Inspiratia's Q1 2024 Energy Transition League Table
Gowling WLG has been named one of the leading firms for renewables advisory by Inspiratia in its Energy Transition League Table for Q1 2024.
Our Energy Transition sector team is named among the Top 10 legal advisors by deal count and transaction value in the first quarter of 2024, currently ranking 6th for total deal count after closing seven deals, and ninth for total transaction volume at US$1,693 million.
The team is noted for its leading role in highly significant renewables projects over the last three months. This includes advising seven commercial lenders over approximately £147 million additional debt for Zenobe and its increased capacity 300MW battery storage site in Scotland and HydrogenOne on its participation in a €215 million Series E equity financing round by Sunfire GmbH.
Inspiratia's quarterly advisor rankings assess the performance of lenders, as well as legal and financial advisors within the global infrastructure and renewables space. Using data compiled by the sector thought leader, covering deals reaching financial close during any given quarter, the league tables are highly regarded and produced to rank active market stakeholders and advisors.
Partner and co-head of Gowling WLG's Energy Transition sector, Gareth Baker commented: "We are delighted to be named among Inspiratia's top 10 energy transition legal advisors for work carried out so far this year.
