Daniel is an associate in Gowling WLG's Business Law Group in Montréal. His practice focuses mainly on construction law and infrastructure projects, leveraging his expertise in drafting and reviewing complex contracts.
Daniel has contributed to numerous major projects in the infrastructure sector, notably:
the construction of the new l'Île d'Orléans bridge (a design-build project valued at $2.7B); and
the construction of the new l'Île-aux-Tourtes bridge and the deconstruction of the original bridge (a design-build-finance project valued at $2.3B).
Daniel frequently conducts advanced legal research, including with regard to corporate governance and public contracts under the Act respecting contracting by public bodies. He is also developing a practice in commercial law focused on drafting and reviewing service agreements, with a focus on the distribution, engineering and architecture sectors. Additionally, Daniel routinely advises businesses on their duty to declare ultimate beneficiaries under Quebec's An act mainly to improve the transparency of enterprises. He also plays an active role in enterprise governance for his clients by drafting resolutions and attending the meetings of the board of directors.
Drawing on his international experience, he was also involved in the negotiation of an EPCM contract (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) in Zurich, an experience that gave him a broad global perspective on contractual issues.
Daniel holds a bachelor's degree in law, as well as a bachelor's in History with a minor in Indigenous Studies, for which he received a distinction for his excellent academic results. He has been a member of the Québec Bar since December 2022 and obtained his Ontario Law Society licence in 2025.
