Dantae Gagnier is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Calgary office.
In 2022, Dantae completed her juris doctor at the University of Calgary.
During her time in law school, Dantae volunteered and worked in various roles. During 2L, she was a research assistant studying social media security and weaponization for Professor Emily Laidlaw, Canada research chair in Cybersecurity Law. Dantae volunteered as a student caseworker with Student Legal Assistance representing low-income clients in various criminal and traffic matters. During 1L, she volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada Trans ID Clinic and worked for a boutique firm specializing in medical malpractice and personal injury in Calgary. Dantae placed first in the 2021 McGillivray Moot and competed in the 2022 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot.
Prior to law school, Dantae worked for the United Nations Global Compact in New York. She obtained an honours bachelor of arts in political studies from Queen's University and researched various matters for the Centre for International and Defence Policy.
