Bio

Dil is a Senior Associate in the Commercial, Development and Investment department at Gowling WLG and has over five years' experience in the real estate sector. She carries out a wide range of work for a variety of clients, which include student accommodation providers, institutional landlords, pension funds and property developers. Her work focuses on sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant work and asset management for retail shopping centres, industrial estates and mixed-use developments.

Experience

Advising and assisting on the purchase of a freehold and leasehold mixed-use property with retail and residential units in Central London for £14,000,000.
Assisting on a £13,000,000 sale of a vacant student accommodation site in London.
Assisting and advising on a sale of a mixed-use student accommodation asset in the North of England with retail on the ground floor to an overseas entity for circa £12,000,000.
Leading the sale and acting for a large institutional client on a £26,000,000 portfolio sale of assisted living assets across England, comprising a mixture of freehold and leasehold property, subject to FRI leases.
Assisting on a £445 million refinancing for a landlord client for shopping centres in England.
Assisting on a 13 property portfolio refinance for a student accommodation client.
Advising and assisting on the purchase of a student property asset in Manchester for circa £20 million.
Acting on behalf of an investment fund dealing with the asset management of a shopping centre.
Acting for the Landlord on negotiating an agreement for lease (to include extensive landlord development works), lease (to include turnover rent provisions), side letter (to include personal concessions for the tenant) and licence for alterations to a large retail sporting tenant. Due to the tenant pipeline the deal needed to exchange within a tight time frame to ensure the letting was secured for the shopping centre.
Acting for the Landlord of a shopping centre on the surrender and new lease of larger unit within the centre to a well known telecommunications provider. This entailed negotiating an agreement for surrender and lease and aligning the service of notices so that the relevant parts of the premises were surrendered and early access was granted to other parts.
Acting and advising on high value lettings on varied asset management transactions throughout England (including lettings to high value tenants with strong covenant strength and bargaining power).
Acting for Landlords of shopping centres and retail and business parks which includes negotiating agreements for leases, leases and ancillary documents; managing and allocating HoTs within internal Gowling WLG team; point of contact within Gowling WLG for the client
