Hyunju (Crystal) Park

Hyunju (Crystal) Park is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office, with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate reorganizations, and corporate finance matters. She advises private companies, investors, and strategic acquirers on domestic and cross-border transactions.
Crystal has experience across the full transaction lifecycle, including structuring deals, conducting due diligence, and drafting and negotiating transaction documents. She regularly works on share and asset acquisitions, reorganizations, and strategic investments, and provides practical, business-oriented advice in fast-paced deal environments.
Her experience also includes working on significant recent nuclear projects including the complex negotiation of the financing terms of a new standard modernized reactor design and the drafting of bespoke loan agreements related to integrated nuclear project agreements for a first-of-a-kind SMR project.
Her practice includes cross-border transactions involving Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and jurisdictions across Asia, with a particular focus on China and South Korea. She brings an international perspective, and is particularly interested in complex, multijurisdictional transactions.
Crystal is actively involved in the legal community, including leadership roles with the American Bar Association Business Law Section, the Ontario Bar Association Business Law Section, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the ITLNCA Networks Association.
She holds multiple graduate legal degrees from leading law schools in South Korea, Macau SAR (China), and Canada, complemented by executive education in mergers and acquisitions and financial analysis and valuation.
