Kristina Dimitrov is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. Her general commercial litigation practice helps clients navigate the complexities of commercial litigation, with a particular focus on health law and international arbitration. She brings experience in resolving disputes related to:
By leveraging her deep understanding of the law and her clients’ unique needs, Kristina tailors her advice to their specific circumstances empowering them to make informed decisions. She also acts as counsel for physicians in medical negligence or professional disciplinary proceedings.
Kristina actively serves as lead counsel on matters before the Alberta Court of Justice and has assisted with matters before the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and administrative tribunals. Her experience extends to alternative dispute resolution proceedings, where she guides clients in achieving favourable outcomes through dispute settlement and mitigation.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Kristina articled and practiced general commercial litigation at a national firm. During her last semester in Law School, Kristina gained invaluable experience as a Clerkship Student at the Alberta Court of Justice. In her role, she shadowed and worked with Judges, including from the Civil Provincial Court, and gained insight into the practices and reasoning of the judiciary.
Beyond her legal practice, Kristina enjoys running, hiking, travelling and spending time with her family.
