Melissa Bach

Melissa Bach is a Counsel in our Frankfurt office. She advises national and international corporates, financial institutions and investors in connection with capital market transactions with focus on share placements and stock exchange listings as well as in general corporate law matters, including assisting listed companies in fulfilling their post-admission obligations.

Before joining Gowling WLG in Summer 2023, Melissa worked as an associate and transaction counsel at major German- and UK-based international law firms, including Clifford Chance LLP and Ashurst LLP.

Melissa Bach is responsible as Head of AI and Legal Tech Germany for the strategic implementation and use of artificial intelligence and legal tech in the German office. In this cross-functional role, she coordinates the local implementation of the firm's global AI strategy and serves as the central contact for professional regulatory and compliance questions relating to the use of AI in client work.

This role combines continued client work in corporate and capital markets law with AI responsibility and translates the expertise gained into client-side advisory on AI governance and AI Act compliance.
