Areas of focus
Namya is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Toronto office and a member of the firm’s Financial Services Group. Her practice focuses on a wide range of insolvency and restructuring matters.
Namya completed her Juris Doctor from Western University, Faculty of Law. At Western Law, Namya worked as a research assistant for Professor Richard H. McLaren, O.C., in the areas of sports law, insolvency and restructuring, secured transactions, and alternative dispute resolution. She also served as the editor-in-chief of the Western Journal of Legal Studies.
Prior to attending law school, Namya completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at McMaster University, graduating summa cum laude. During the summers of her undergraduate years, she worked at a boutique law firm and an international law firm in Toronto.
