
Bio
Nana Asante is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. Nana clerked with the Alberta Court of King’s Bench before returning to the firm to complete his articles.
He obtained his law degree from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law in 2025. Prior to law school, Nana obtained a Bachelor of Arts, English (Honours) from Mount Royal University.
During law school, Nana worked as the program coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada – Calgary Chapter. He participated in several moots, including the UCalgary Faculty of Law’s McGillivray Moot Competition, the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, and the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot.
In his spare time, Nana likes to run, hike, travel, and try new foods.
