Patrick Cajvan is an associate in Gowling WLG's Montréal office practising in the Commercial Litigation Group, focusing on restructuring & insolvency as well as environmental and energy law.
Patrick holds a bachelor's degree in civil law from Université de Montréal and a juris doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School (York University). He also studied Chinese law at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing, China.
Patrick frequently appears before the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal of Quebec and has actively participated in two interventions at the Supreme Court of Canada. Patrick also advises corporate, institutional and private clients, providing strategic regulatory advice as well as representation.
Patrick holds a private pilot license and has always been passionate about aviation. Before joining Gowling WLG, he worked at a multinational aerospace company. He has also been very involved in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets movement.
Patrick has been recognized in The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada 2025 for his work in corporate and commercial litigation as well as insolvency and financial restructuring law.
