Philip Baker

Philip advises on procurement strategy and project delivery for a wide range of real estate, construction and modular clients, including institutions, funders, developers and end users.

He specialises in negotiating and advising on construction and engineering documents from the position of both employer and contractor, such as building contracts, consultant appointments, pre-construction services agreements and collateral warranties.

Philip has significant experience of modern construction methods, particularly in the housing sector.

Over the last 12 months, Philip has advised on:

• Construction legal aspects for a market-leading modular construction and development business on an in-house "virtual secondment" basis and in connection with various modular-led developments across the UK.
• The £100 million plus regeneration of Swansea city centre, which includes the construction of a 3,500 seat digital arena built above a multi-storey car park alongside a hotel, shops, new bridge and housing.
• The construction of two interlinked office buildings, car parking for electric vehicles and a new residential building set within landscaped gardens.
