Stefan Hreno

Stefan Hreno is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office and a member of the firm’s Financial Services Group.

Stefan maintains a practice focused on commercial real estate and banking matters. He advises lenders and borrowers on secured lending transactions across a variety of financing structures, including bilateral and syndicated facilities. He also supports clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and the transactional components of complex business matters.

Stefan earned his Juris Doctor from Robson Hall, Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba, and holds a Bachelor of Science with distinction from the University of Manitoba. During his studies, he was member to the Dean’s List multiple times and received the Frank Billinkoff and D.A. Thompson, Q.C. Prize in Wills and Successions for achieving the highest standing in the course. He also competed as a leading Usports sprinter, setting a university school record while in law school.

Actively engaged in his community, Stefan serves on several boards dedicated to community development, real estate, sport, and athlete development. Outside of the office, he is an avid golfer, enjoys skiing, and spends as much time as possible at the lake.
