Tessa Warmelink

Tessa Warmelink is a senior associate in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Department. Her litigation practice focuses on medical defence, health law and professional liability.

Tessa started her career at Gowling WLG, focusing her practice on professional liability and insurance defence litigation. She further refined her litigation skills as in-house litigation counsel to a large Canadian insurance company prior to her return to Gowling WLG.

Tessa has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario advocating for clients in a range of personal injury and professional liability actions. Tessa has developed specialized experience assessing damages in complex and high-value personal injury claims.

Tessa is also active in the Ottawa community. She has been on the Board of Directors of the Christmas Cheer Foundation, a local charity raising funds and awareness for food scarcity programs in the city and surroundings communities, since 2016.
