Big Rig Brewery and Big Rig Restaurants acquired by Foodtastic

On June 10, 2019, Foodtastic Inc. announced that it had acquired Big Rig Brewery and Big Rig Restaurants ("Big Rig") of Ottawa, Ontario.

Big Rig Restaurants was founded in 2012 and is a city favorite for great beer and food. In 2014, a state-of-the-art brewery was built in order to expand the distribution of the beer into retail outlets.

Foodtastic is the franchisor of multiple restaurant concepts including: Au Coq, La Belle et La Boeuf, Monza, Carlos & Pepe's, Souvlaki Bar, Nickels and Bacaro.

Karen Hennessey and Garrett Hamel of Gowling WLG advised one of the selling shareholders in this transaction.
