On October 25, 2024, Aura Minerals Inc. ("Aura") agreed to acquire Guatemalan gold developer Bluestone Resources in a deal valued at approximately $103 million (US$74.3 million) by way of the acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Bluestone by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia). Under the arrangement, Aura will acquire full ownership of Bluestone's Cerro Blanco gold project in southeast Guatemala, along with the nearby Mita geothermal project. 

Aura Minerals Inc. is a Canadian multi-national mining company that owns and operates gold and copper mines in Honduras, Brazil and Mexico. Bluestone Resources Inc. is a mining development & exploration company focused on advancing the Cerro Blanco Gold Project.
