The latest Legal 500 UK results have been released and Gowling WLG has once again achieved excellent results, with eight brand new entries, 24 leading individuals and 10 next generation lawyers listed.

Achieving a total of 78 rankings - an increase on the firm's 2016 results - Gowling WLG has secured strong results across both London and the West Midlands. The results include a number of tier one rankings, with the firm's real estate, pensions, energy, dispute resolution and intellectual property practices achieving the highest result in their categories, among others ranked in tier one.

In addition, 24 of the firm's UK lawyers have been named as leading individuals, including Head of Energy Derek Goodban, Head of Real Estate Richard Bate and Head of Life Sciences Patrick Duxbury.

David Fennell, chief executive of Gowling WLG, said:

"Once again, the firm has achieved improvements in our Legal 500 UK rankings and we are delighted at the progress we have made. The positive client feedback is particularly important and pleasing for us, and it's great to see that our deep service and sector knowledge and experience have been recognised."

This year, Legal 500 also introduced a new 'next generation' list, which has highlighted the strength and depth of the Gowling WLG team. In total, 10 of the firm's UK lawyers have been listed in this category: Nicky Yarwood, Kate Seabourne, Kristian Rogers, Chris Nyland, Jemma O'Reilly, Michael Hafen, Toni Weston, Graham Wrigglesworth, Richard Smith and James Barr.
