Abdullah Khalid

Abdullah Khalid is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo office. He is currently pursing his juris doctor (JD) at Osgoode Hall Law School.
During his time at law school, Abdullah served as a caseworker at the Osgoode Venture Capital Clinic, aiding a Canadian startup with their legal needs. He also held positions within the Osgoode Venture Capital Law Society and the Osgoode Bankruptcy and Insolvency Club.
Abdullah brings a wealth of experience from diverse fields, including government, technology, consulting, and venture capital. Before joining Gowling WLG, Abdullah worked at Framework Venture Partners, gaining extensive deal experience spanning various industries and financing amounts.
Prior to law school, Abdullah obtained an Honours bachelor of arts with majors in political science and business from the University of Waterloo.
Outside of the office, Abdullah finds enjoyment in playing and spectating sports such as basketball, tennis and baseball. Additionally, he takes pleasure in playing chess and contributing his time to community volunteering initiatives.
