Alison Kime helps clients to de-mystify pensions through clear and pragmatic legal advice.
Alison advises trustees and employers (large and small) and can help you on all aspects of pensions law, from achieving gold standard governance to helping you in negotiations with the Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund.
Alison has been advising trustees and employers for over 10 years. Alison's recent experience includes advising a number of trustee clients on fiduciary investment management documentation (whereby trustees appoint a third party to manage the total assets of the plan) and has also recently advised on a number of complex security arrangements for plans with overseas employers.
Successfully negotiating the terms of a regulated apportionment arrangement with the Pension Protection Fund and the Pensions Regulator. Although Alison acted for the employer on this project, the ultimate acceptance of the plan by the PPF was the best outcome for both the plan and the employer.
Working in partnership with trustee boards of both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes to develop long term solutions to risk management and "gold standard" governance frameworks.
Working on complex security arrangements for a large scheme with an overseas parent company.
A number of one off projects involving scheme closures and benefit re-design incorporating flexible and regulated apportionment arrangements.
Advising on pension scheme mergers.
Advising trustees on the legal documentation required to put in place fiduciary management arrangements.
Speaking at the NAPF Introduction to Trusteeship course.
