Ben provides simple, no-nonsense advice to help trustees and sponsoring employers of pension schemes achieve their long-term goals.
His focus on delivering excellent client service helps him to build trusted relationships and he works collaboratively to help deliver on everything from run-on solutions to risk transfer and wind-up.
He is a trusted advisor to three large multi-billion pound schemes, half a dozen schemes with assets of £100-£500 million and a range of smaller schemes with assets of £100 million or less. Ben advises boards of trustees and also leads our innovative offering for professional corporate sole trustee clients.
As a former journalist Ben uses his communication skills to provide engaging, simple and accessible advice which cuts straight to the point.
He advises trustee and sponsoring employer clients on all areas of pensions law including: use of surplus, scheme mergers, liability management exercises, longevity swaps, closure to accrual, Virgin Media issues, benefit correction projects, buy-in and buy-out projects, and scheme wind-up.
Ben enjoys the variety of working across a number of industries and sectors, including automative, energy, food and beverage, and retail.
In his spare time Ben enjoys swimming, cricket, golf and is an unashamed history nerd.
