Brett Mason

Brett advises on all areas of construction dispute resolution with a particular focus on building safety and general defects disputes. He predominantly advises developers, investment funds and housebuilders. He also has vast adjudication experience (predominantly payment and contractual mechanism disputes), experience with insolvency-related claims, and has worked on both domestic and international arbitrations (including, an ICC arbitration concerning a manufacturing facility in Northern Europe).

Over the past 12 months, Brett has advised on:

• Multiple defects claims arising out of the re-development of a high-rise residential building in central London.
• Building safety claims relating to aparthotels, hotels, residential, office and mixed-use buildings for a variety of clients including pension funds, property investment funds and developers.
• Termination and payment dispute relating to the design of a manufacturing facility.
