Dalal Hjjih

Dalal Hjjih is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and medical defence. Dalal represents clients in a range of contractual disputes and shareholder oppression claims, and represents health professionals in medical defence litigation and professional disciplinary proceedings.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Dalal practiced in the commercial litigation group at a large Toronto firm.
Dalal obtained her JD from the University of Windsor, where she was awarded the Frank W. Wilson and Marion Claire Wilson Memorial Scholarship in Constitutional Law. During law school, she served as a research assistant, conducting research on administrative law and health issues, and contributed to Civil Procedure and Practice in Ontario.
Dalal was the founder & co-president of the university’s Middle Eastern Law Students Association. She was also the chairperson of the Justice at Work Committee, a senior editor of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues, an intake support worker at Community Legal Aid, and a Gale Cup Moot Participant.
