David Cloutier

David Cloutier is a lawyer in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office. His practice is primarily focused on commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and insolvency.

Before joining Gowling WLG, David began his career as a research lawyer at the Superior Court of Québec in Montréal, where he supported judges with legal research, analysis, and drafting as part of the decision-making process.as part of the decision-making process.

Previously, he served as a research assistant for a professor specializing in the law of obligations, practised in private practice, and worked at the International Criminal and Humanitarian Law Clinic at Université Laval.

Driven by a desire to promote access to justice, David completed an articling term at the Greater Montréal Community Justice Centre and participated in a clinical program at the Université de Sherbrooke Legal Information Clinic.

He practises law in English and French.
