Jaime Wilson is a civil litigator who handles and resolves complex legal disputes for institutions and individuals.
Her practice is multi-faceted and encompasses the areas of insurance defence, commercial litigation and personal injury.
She regularly represents the interests of insurance companies in defending claims arising out of personal injury, property damage, product liability, errors and omissions, professional liability, and bad faith. She is also experienced in a wide variety of commercial matters and has been lead counsel in multi-party litigation cases involving contract, real estate, and construction disputes.
Jaime is dedicated to excellent client service. This includes early case assessment, regular reporting, effective budgeting and vigorous representation.
Comfortable in the courtroom, Jaime excels in oral advocacy and has successfully represented clients in contested motions, appeals, arbitrations and lengthy and complex jury trials. She has appeared before numerous tribunals, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Prior to earning her law degree at Dalhousie University, Jaime attended the University of Ottawa where she studied science and philosophy, and competed in varsity athletics at the CIS level.
Jaime is an active member in the legal community and enjoys teaching a variety of tort and insurance law topics. She also frequents as an author and presenter for professional CLE's given by the Ontario Bar Association and the County of Carleton Law Association.
