James Stewart

James Stewart is an associate in the firm's Vancouver office, practising in the Business Law Group.

James primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, and general corporate matters. He has experience with corporate issuers and underwriters in a broad range of capital market transactions, including initial public offerings and complex share buybacks. James also has experience in assisting startup companies as they move toward being publically listed.

James also practices in the firm's Financial Institutions & Services Group, where he advises on debt financing and lending across a variety of industries.

James completed his JD at the University of Alberta. While in law school, he participated in various social and volunteer pursuits, including student legal services, rugby, and dodgeball. 

Prior to law school, James obtained a BA from the University of British Columbia. During his undergraduate studies, he was a founding member of West Peak research association, a student-run equity research group that regularly publishes financial reports. James conducted equity research for publication on various platforms.
