Jodey Therriault

Jodey Therriault is a lawyer in the Real Estate Group in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo office. She has extensive experience in commercial leasing transactions, acting for both landlords and tenants throughout Canada. Jodey has expertise in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial lease documents, including offers to lease, lease agreements, renewals/extensions, expansion agreements and amending agreements as well as non-disturbance agreements—where her background in lending plays a pivotal role in negotiations.

She regularly advises clients with respect to industrial, office, retail and multi-use properties and she is well positioned to advise clients leasing commercial space in condominium buildings as a result of her experience in condominium developments.

Jodey has also developed a particular expertise in negotiating lease surrender and termination agreements, acting for both landlords and tenants in the complex negotiations that accompany such agreements.
